TEFL Program - Your board as a key resource

Page history last edited by Chris Moore 13 years, 7 months ago

Your board as a key resource

  • organising what to put where

  • some ideas of things you can do

  • allowing your students to use the board

4. Boardwork

Discussion: How should T use the board?

- organise clearly

- to record key/new vocab on for students to take down in copybooks

- giving models/examples

- a surface for games

- drawing pictures

etc.

Stress the importance of the board as a resource - often the only one the teacher has to hand outside him/herself and the coursebook - and therefore should be used.

show examples here - eg. drawings of how a board can look for different acticities, or at different phases of a class

also give examples ofd activities which use the board - eg. running dictation, hangman
